The season for snow and ice removal is approaching. Chester River Landscaping, the HOA’s snow and ice removal contractor, uses pure Magnesium Chloride Pellets with no other chemicals added. The contractor has confirmed that this treatment is safe for concrete and pets.

If you do NOT want snow/ice melt applied to your concrete driveway or lead walk during the 2025/2026 winter season, please pick up an ORANGE ribbon from the Clubhouse and place it around your front light post. This will notify the contractor that you opt out of chemical treatment.

Key Details:

• ORANGE ribbons are available in the basket as you enter the Clubhouse.
• Homes without an ORANGE ribbon will receive snow/ice melt whenever the contractor is mobilized for pre-treatment or snow/ice removal.
• Snow and ice accumulation, weather conditions, and freezing temperatures are closely monitored. The contractor will clear walkways to front doors, driveways, and Clubhouse parking lots as designated by the Board.
• Typically, snow removal starts after a storm ends and when accumulation reaches 3 inches or more. The Board may adjust this schedule under extenuating circumstances, such as ice or sleet accumulation or extended freezing temperatures.

Please remember that your volunteer Board Members work to balance community needs, resident requests, and the HOA’s fiduciary responsibilities regarding snow and ice removal.
