2025 Guidelines for the Outreach Giving Tree

Symphony Village OUTREACH sponsors a wonderful Holiday gift tradition for some of the needy children in 6 of the schools that feed into Queen Anne’s HS. The 6 feeder schools for our high school give us the information for a particular family’s children. We do not know the name of the families but we know the initials of the children, their sizes etc. The school counselors choose the children that we buy for. Each child receives a coat, hoodie, shirt, jeans, tennis shoes and 3 wish list items.

As of Thursday, October 23th, the tags for the Giving Tree will be on display in the Clubhouse Lobby. Our Giving Tree ornament tags describe the item, size etc for each child whose information we have been given. We will have 2 trees this year with 3 schools’ tags on each tree. We have a code on each tag which tells us the school name, child’s initials etc. All you have to pay attention to is what the child is asking for.

The directions for purchasing/ wrapping and returning the gifts to the clubhouse will be on a GREEN piece of paper located next to the Giving Tree. Also, if possible, we would appreciate it if you could include an age appropriate book with your present.

IF YOU TAKE AN GREEN COAT or BLANKET TAG, please RETURN the wrapped COAT OR BLANKET to the Wall Street Room by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16th^th.   Make sure the information tag is attached. We will have a sign-in sheet for you to let us know which coat or blanket tag you took.

IF YOU CHOSE AN ITEM BESIDES THE COAT, THE DEADLINE FOR THOSE ITEMS TO BE RETURNED IS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10TH.

If you would rather contribute money, please make your check payable to SVOPI and drop it in the PURPLE locked box in the Wall Street Room.  The box will say GIVING TREE DONATIONS

All funds received will be used for gifts not selected and for food certificates for those families during the winter.
