The current art show in the concert hall showcases the wonderful response we had to the Picasso challenge,  Stop by sometime and see how our very own 'Picassos' met the challenge. 

The next show will be hung on Thursday, July 31st so there is plenty of time to create your own piece of art.  Any media is welcome and we always hope to see many residents participate. 

 Membership in the guild is not required.  The challenge is Floral, although entries are not required to meet this category.  

An additional special for the August show will be a display of bookshelf 'booknook' kits.  These are the miniature rooms that are built with the idea that they sit on a bookshelf amongst the books. 

They are designed primarily as adult/teen projects as they can be quite challenging.  The display will be held during the opening reception, with a select few remaining in the display cases if any of the owners are comfortable with that. 

If you have any booknooks that you have built and would like to bring to the show please let Pat Glaunert (336-406-0443) know and we'll have space ready for you.  The display will be staffed to ensure the safety of the boxes.  If you haven't built a booknook now's the time to try your hand at one. Micheal's has them, and of course, Amazon.

The Centre for the Arts in Centreville currently has an exhibition of Symphony Village resident's art.  It will remain on display until July 19th.  Hours are 10-4, Mon-Fri.

Please stop by and support the Centre as well as your fellow SV residents.  Parking is free on the street directly in front of their building and entry is free of charge,
