Department of Public Works will be onsite this week
The Department of Public Works will be sending GPS location crews into the community to conduct work from Monday, 12/16 - Friday, 12/20. This is part of the Towns Infrastructure Mapping and Asset Management Improvement Effort.
Crews will be using GPS equipment to collect accurate location data. This is being conducted for a water and sewer mapping survey for the Town of Centreville. The GPS will be used to collect locations for fire hydrants, water valves, sewer manholes, sewer clean-outs, water curb stops and water meters.
The crew will have handouts to give out if requested. Most of these items are located on common ground, a few may be on private property. If a need to access private property occurs, this will take no more than 10 mins.
The work will be preformed from 8 am to 5 pm.
