Extra Turf Application – Crabgrass & Nutsedge Treatment

From: "SV Residents" <no-reply@PROTECTED>
Date: August 12th 2024

Symphony Village Residents,

At the August 7, 2024 meeting, the Board of Directors authorized Level Green Landscaping to proceed with a post-emergent spot spray weed treatment targeting the crabgrass and nutsedge weeds in residential and common area turf. As many of you know crabgrass and nutsedge have become more prevalent in the community due to the variable and conducive weather conditions this summer. The upcoming application should help mitigate the spread of the weeds and help prevent future occurrences.

The turf treatment application is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Tuesday, August 13, 2024 and continue for three days, weather permitting. This is the ‘reserve’ turf treatment application utilized when necessary. The application will be a liquid spot treatment focusing on crabgrass and nutsedge only.

The application will be completed over a three (3) day period. Application zones outlined in red, blue and yellow on the map below correspond with each of the three (3) days. The application of the treatment will be completed in one (1) zone each day and is tentatively scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, August 13 – Red Section

Wednesday, August 14 – Blue Section

Thursday, August 15 – Yellow Section

Monday, August 19  – RAIN DATE

Please note that the crews may complete one zone ahead of schedule and proceed to the next applicable zone during the treatment.

The treatment sections were amended in 2022 with pet owners in mind. The new sections allow easy access to untreated areas until the product is fully absorbed.

A small yellow marker will be placed in the areas that have been treated. If you do not see a marker directly in front of your home, please look at the surrounding houses. Markers are to be placed in clear view every 4 to 5 homes. The yellow markers will have the date of application noted on the back. Treatment should be fully absorbed in usually 2-3 hours once the spray has dried.

Level Green Landscaping (LGL) will also keep temperature and wind speed in mind to ensure conditions are suitable for applying the liquid spot treatment. The application will be completed using spot treatment not broad spraying.

Chemical Information Sheets are available to residents upon request. Please contact the Management Office by phone at 410-758-8500, email at gm@PROTECTED, or in person at the Clubhouse with any questions or to request a copy.

The dates above are pending weather conditions. Notice will be sent for any scheduling changes.

Thank you for your attention,

Symphony Village HOA Management
