Clubhouse Decorating Update
This is a reminder that you are invited to view the proposed new look for the lobby. A large professional picture is now available for your pleasure.
Thanks are extended to those who have commented on the proposed decorating update posted in the clubhouse lobby. All comments and feedback are appreciated so please, let us and the Board of Directors know what you think!
Some questions previously raised are answered below but please know there is more information to come based on the feedback received. Your input is crucial to the process!
Residents have many questions which we can now answer. Yes, our building is quite pleasant. But it is aging out. Interior inspection recently re-enforced the fact that drapes are deteriorating, furniture is wearing, some blinds are not functioning and carpets are aging. As explained earlier, the clubhouse will be reinvented in phases. The lobby is the obvious first choice. Painting the ceiling, the ceiling beams, and the dark millwork will be step one. Followed by carpet replacement throughout. All carpet must be replaced at once due to color variations. These changes could happen as early as this fall.
What’s the scheme?
We’re feeling blue. Decorating consultant Ashby Williams, says that’s good because blue is timeless and the perfect color for a lighter brighter decor. Look for blues to dominate a traditional/transitional style. Fabrics will be durable yet beautiful. Pops of color will remain a surprise.
How are we going to pay for it?
Reserve funds will be tapped as appropriate. Operating funds will cover things like painting. It is our great hope that phase one will be so successful that more funds will be appropriated. Until that time, phases will be completed on a pay as we go.
So come on in and see what’s in store for you. We are working on a vision board to include POSSIBILITIES for lighting and furniture. Look for these visions to be on display soon.
