To help combat the dry conditions the irrigation system will run 50% longer in each zone next week if there is no significant rainfall. The system will also run this Saturday and Sunday mornings at increased run times.

The 50% run time increase means that the residential beds will run for 12 mins instead of 8, the residential turf will run for 15 mins instead of 10 and the common area turf will run for 30 mins instead of 20.

The program for all residential turf is scheduled to run Saturday morning and end by 8:00 a.m. The residential beds and common area turf are scheduled to run on Sunday and end by 9:00 a.m. The weekly programs will remain on the same days.

The feasibility of increasing the irrigation run times further will be assessed if the dry conditions continue. The assessment will be made keeping the Association’s water allocation restrictions set by the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) at the inception of the community in mind.

Furthermore, please note that the focus of this week’s landscaping maintenance visit was details such as treating sidewalk weeds, weeding the beds, removing dead plant material/leaves, cleaning off stormwater inlet grates, addressing work orders, etc. Mowing efforts were focused on the areas that were in need of mowing only.
