Greetings Symphony Village Residents:

As you may be aware the pool maintenance contractor, Anchor Aquatics, replaced the underwater lights in the indoor pool (2) and spa (1) on Thursday, February 3, 2022. A transference of water from the spa into the indoor pool during the process caused an issue with the pool’s chlorine level readings.

The indoor pool is currently chemically balanced, sanitized, and safe to use. However, the introduction of bromine from the spa water into the pool is causing the pool’s chlorine level readings to be inaccurate. Unfortunately, the only way to restore the accuracy of the recorded chlorine level is to drain and refill the indoor pool. Please note that the QAC Health Department requires the chemical (chlorine) readings to be taken and recorded three (3) times daily.

The indoor pool is scheduled to be drained, cleaned, and refilled next week at no cost to the Association.

The indoor pool and spa will be closed on Monday, February 14, 2022, and reopen no later than Saturday, February 19, 2022.

A few pieces of good news:

• The Association will save approximately $3,354 in 2022 on the annual draining and cleaning (usually completed in August).
• The two (2) underwater lights in the indoor pool and the one (1) in the spa are working properly.

All parties realize this is an inconvenience and empathize with the pool users that will be impacted by the closure.
