Community Reminders

Greetings Symphony Village Residents,

It has been brought to the attention of Management that residents have been leaving their garage doors open. This is a reminder to close your garage doors as leaving them open can pose both a personal and community security risk.

As you may be aware, there was gunfire reported at the end of Taylor Mill Road on Sunday, May 24th. As the gunfire was not consistent with that normally heard during the applicable hunting season, it was reported to the Centreville Police. Two (2) Centreville Police Officers investigated the matter and concluded the gunfire was not taking place on Symphony Village HOA property. It is the understanding of Management that one Officer responded to Rolling Bridge Road where the officer encountered the landowner who indicated they were target practicing.

When placing trash and recycling at the curb prior to pick up on Wednesday, please ensure that all items are secured within the trash and recycling containers with a lid. Loose trash and recycling items are often picked up by the wind, particularly if a container is blown over or while being deposited in the dump trucks. The garbage then gets scattered onto a neighboring lawn or in the common area. Please be courteous of your neighbors and the community by securing your trash and recycling properly. Excerpts from the Public Works page on the Town of Centreville's website are listed below for your convenience:

TRASH/RECYCLE/YARD WASTE

Trash and recycling are picked up every Wednesday morning beginning at 6:00 a.m. by Chesapeake Waste. Please have trash and recycle out at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. as routes may change from week to week pick-up times may vary.

Yard waste is picked up every Monday beginning at 6:00 a.m. and is collected by Downs Lawn Service.
