Winter Storm Reminders

Symphony Village HOA Residents,

The current weather forecast indicates winter precipitation is expected over the weekend, and the Centreville area is currently under a Winter Storm Watch. Please review the following important reminders:

  • As winter precipitation begins, please use extreme caution when walking or driving within the community. Sidewalks, driveways, and asphalt surfaces may become slick or icy.
  • If conditions become hazardous, please wait to access the Clubhouse and the common areas until the areas are cleared and hazardous conditions have been mitigated.
  • Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for cold temperatures, snow and ice accumulation, and temporary limitations on vehicle access, including delays exiting driveways.
  • PLEASE park all vehicles in garages, if possible. Vehicles should not be parked in the Clubhouse parking lots or on community streets, as this may impede snow removal operations.
  • Accumulation and weather conditions will be monitored frequently by the General Manager and the Board of Directors, including forecasts for the hours and days following the storm.
  • The Association’s snow removal contractor is generally dispatched when snowfall exceeds three (3) inches or with Board approval. In most cases, snow removal does not begin until precipitation has slowed or stopped, if deemed necessary. This may vary depending on storm severity and forecast conditions.
  • The Town of Centreville is responsible for addressing the streets within the community. For details about the Town of Centreville Streets Division – Snow Removal and contact information for the Department of Public Works, please visit https://www.townofcentreville.org/publicworks/page/streets-division-snow-removal
  • Queen Anne’s County is responsible for addressing Taylor Mill Road. For more information, please visit https://www.qac.org/m/faq?cat=19#question-95.
  • In the event of a health or safety emergency, always call 911. For an after-hours emergency related to the Clubhouse of common area, please call 410-670-4466.

If residents believe snow removal is necessary on their individual property for snowfall of less than three (3) inches, arrangements must be made independently.

An eBlast will be sent to update residents regarding any snow removal efforts.

Snow/Ice Melt Chemical Information

Please note that the snow removal contractor, Chester River Landscaping, uses pure Magnesium Chloride pellets with no other chemicals added as snow/ice melt. The contractor has stated this treatment is concrete-safe.

Any home without an orange ribbon around the front light post will receive snow/ice melt if the contractor is mobilized and the conditions call for it.

If you would like to opt-out of chemical treatment for the 2025 winter season, please retrieve an orange ribbon from the Clubhouse Lobby and place it around your front light post. This will notify the crew that you do NOT want chemical service.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Management Office at 410-758-8500 or by email at rwagner@PROTECTED and/or tsarris@PROTECTED with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation. Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Symphony Village HOA Management
