Symphony Village HOA Residents,
This is a reminder to pick up after your pets and be mindful of where they use the bathroom. Nothing ruins the aesthetic value of lush green grass like patches that are from pet waste. If your pet has a “favorite spot” on walks, please consider changing routes and be sure to clean up after them immediately.
The key to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy common areas and residential lots is to be considerate of your neighbors. Please avoid allowing your pets to “go” on a neighbor’s lawn and immediately clean up after your pet in any area.
Please note that pet waste baggies are to be disposed of in your trash receptacle, not in neighbors' trash cans or common area trash cans. Pet waste is especially an issue along the walking trail by pond 1. Please pick up after your pet.
Additionally, please be sure your pet is leashed at all times outside the home or outside of an invisible fence. Pets should not be permitted to roam freely.
Should you have a complaint about pet waste not being picked up or a pet off a leash, please visit the Queen Anne's County Animal Control Commission website at https://www.qac.org/226/Animal-Control or click here to access the complaint form.
In Maryland, it is illegal to not pick up pet waste on public or private property. Pet owners are required to have the means to clean up after their animals, remove waste immediately, and dispose of it properly, which can result in fines of $50 to $500 or more, depending on the local ordinance. Leaving pet waste can pollute waterways, harm aquatic life, and threaten public health.
Thank you in advance for your attention and consideration.
Sincerely,
Symphony Village HOA Management
