Dear Symphony Village HOA Residents,

As a follow-up to previous eBlast communications, this is an update regarding the turf damage caused by the application of the selective herbicide Meso 4SC —particularly after the second round of application during the week of August 25—affecting desirable turfgrass in certain areas.

The Association’s landscaping contractor, Level Green Landscaping (LGL), took full responsibility for the damage caused by overapplication and immediately proposed a plan for remediation on September 11.

LGL has since assessed the extent of the unintentional damage to both residential and common area turf by conducting a thorough walkthrough of all areas during the week of September 15. As a result of their assessment, approximately 7,443 square feet of turf damage has been identified across the community.

Remediation work began today, Tuesday, September 23. LGL will not be here on Wednesday, September 24. The work is scheduled to continue on Thursday, September 25, weather permitting and is expected to continue through at least the end of this week. If there is any schedule change, a follow-up email will be sent out to the community. 

Restoration of the damaged areas will include:

• Apply a layer of mixed topsoil and compost to damaged areas
• Aerate and overseed to promote healthy grass growth

This work is being performed at no cost to the Association. Your continued patience as LGL completes this time-sensitive process throughout the community is greatly appreciated.

Regardless of whether you submitted a work order, your property and adjacent common areas should have been assessed by LGL. If you do not observe the contractor at your property immediately or have yet to receive a response to your work order, please continue to be patient. LGL will be working their way around the community and Management is in the process of reviewing all work orders submitted in reference to this matter. Please monitor your email for a response in the coming days.

In addition, LGL has submitted a revised proposal for aerating and overseeding undamaged residential turf areas. This proposal is currently under review by the Board of Directors.
