Meso Turf Application #2

From: "SV Residents" <no-reply@PROTECTED>
Date: August 22nd 2025

Symphony Village Residents,

The Association has opted to implement a more rigorous weed suppression program than what is outlined in the 2025 Landscape Management Contract.

The second weed treatment application of Meso (also known as Tenacity)  across common areas and residential turf is tentatively scheduled for Monday, August 25, Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27. Weather permitting.

These applications are designed to target a wide range of highly visible and persistent weeds, including:

  • Barnyard grass
  • Large and smooth crabgrass
  • Goosegrass
  • Nimblewill
  • Windmill grass
  • Yellow nutsedge
  • Dandelions
...and more. A full list of target weeds is included under the map below for your reference.

Application Schedule

The liquid application will be carried out over a three-day period. Treatment areas are divided into color-coded zones on the map below:

Monday, August 25 – Red Section

Tuesday, August 26 – Yellow Section

Wednesday, August 27 – Blue Section

Thursday, August 28 – Rain Date

In the event of high temperatures, wind, or rain, the application may be postponed or rescheduled. Any updates will be communicated promptly.

During the treatment, applicators from Level Green Landscaping will place small yellow markers in the areas that have been treated. If you do not see a marker directly in front of your home, please check nearby homes—markers are placed approximately every 4 to 5 homes. Each marker will have the application date noted on the back.

The treatment should be fully absorbed within 48–72 hours of application.

If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact the Management Office:

After applying Meso (also known as Tenacity) for weed treatment, you can expect the following visual changes in your lawn:

  • Weed discoloration: Weeds targeted by meso will typically begin to turn white (bleach) within 5-7 days after application due to the herbicide's effect on chlorophyll production.
  • Gradual weed death: The weeds will continue to turn white and will eventually die within two to three weeks of the application.
  • Potential temporary turf discoloration: It's common for the desirable turfgrass to also temporarily turn white or yellowish in color after Meso application. This discoloration can last for several weeks.

Important Notes:

  • Multiple applications might be necessary: For optimal control, particularly of stubborn weeds like crabgrass, a second application of Meso 2-3 weeks after the first is often recommended.
  • The whitening is temporary: The discoloration of your desirable turf is generally temporary and not considered damage. The turf should recover its normal color within a few weeks.

Chemical information sheets are available upon request.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Symphony Village HOA Management
