SHUCKED
Tours & More presents this Tony Award-winning corn-fed, corn-bred American musical from Broadway, endorsed by Reba McEntire, touring the USA and coming in March to the National Theater in Washington DC.
Join us for Shucked, this Farm to Fable musical comedy which finds small-town girl Maizy on a mission to the big city to learn what’s causing all the corn in Cob County to die. On her quest, she finds Gordy, a con man posing as a podiatrist – a foot doctor, specializing in corns – who captures Maizy’s fancy. We’re not surprised to see a romantic triangle created as Maizy is torn between Gordy and farmer fiancé, Beau.
And of course, Maizy has a whiskey-brewin’ cousin and BFF, named Lulu who re-configures the geometry of the romantic triangle. One can only guess how it all works out.
Shucked is an exciting, family-friendly comedy about a small town and its inhabitants. You’ll enjoy the non-stop silliness and fall “whole-hog” for the sappy punch-lines. Around every maze of lines, you’ll be finding humor in the next pun, punchline or message with double entendre.
