Greetings Symphony Village Residents,

The season for snow and ice removal is upon us. Chester River Landscaping, the Symphony Village HOA snow and ice removal contractor, uses pure Magnesium Chloride Pellets with no other chemicals added, for snow/ice melt. The contractor has informed us this treatment is concrete and pet-safe.

If you choose to NOT have snow/ice melt applied to your concrete driveway and lead walk during the 2023/2024 winter season, by the Association's snow removal contractor, please retrieve an ORANGE ribbon from the Clubhouse and place it around your front light post. This will notify the Association's contractor that you do NOT want chemical service.

This year's ORANGE ribbons can be picked up from the basket as you enter the Clubhouse. Residents who do not want chemical treatment for snow and/or ice should place the ribbon around their front light post.

Any home without an ORANGE ribbon for the 2023/2024 season, around the front light post will receive snow/ice melt if/when the contractor is mobilized for pre-treatment or snow/ice removal.

Snow and ice accumulation, weather conditions, and freezing temperatures are monitored closely in the event of inclement weather. If/when mobilized, the snow removal contractor clears the walkway to the front doors, driveways, and Clubhouse parking lots as designated by the Board of Directors.

Typically, snow removal will not start until after a storm has ended and accumulation is 3 inches or more. The board is also able to exercise discretion on these decisions under extenuating circumstances including ice/sleet accumulation or freezing temperatures over an extended time period.

Please keep in mind that the volunteer Board Members elected by the community are tasked with balancing community needs, resident requests, and fiduciary responsibility related to snow/ice removal.

The town of Centreville is responsible for plowing all of the streets in Symphony Village. With any questions regarding street plowing, please contact the Town of Centreville at 410-758-1180.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Management Office at 410-758-8500 with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your attention,

Symphony Village HOA Management
