2023 Guidelines for the Outreach Giving Tree

As many of you are aware, SNEAKERS has participated in Queen Anne’s County Adopt A Family program for many years. Due to the fact that Sneakers is disbanding, Symphony Village OUTREACH will continue with this wonderful gift for children. The 6 feeder schools for our high school give us the information for a particular family’s children. We do not know the names of the families but we know the first names of the children, their sizes, etc. The school counselors choose the children that we buy for.

As of Thursday, October 26th, the tags for the Giving Tree will be on display in the Clubhouse Lobby.

Our Giving Tree ornament tags describe the item, size, etc. for each child whose information we have been given.

The directions for purchasing/ wrapping and returning the gifts to the clubhouse will be on a GREEN piece of paper located next to the Giving Tree. Also, if possible, we would appreciate it if you could include an age-appropriate book with your present.

1. YOU TAKE AN RED COAT TAG, please RETURN the wrapped coat to the Wall Street Room by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17th. Make sure the information tag is attached. The coats will be delivered to the schools that week. We will have a sign-in sheet for you to let us know which coat you took. That makes it easier for us to keep track of the inventory.

IF YOU CHOSE AN ITEM BESIDES THE COAT, THE DEADLINE FOR THOSE ITEMS TO BE RETURNED IS

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH.

If you would rather contribute money, please make your check payable to SVOPI and drop it in the purple locked box in the Wall Street Room. The box will say GIVING TREE DONATIONS

All funds received will be used for gifts not selected, for food certificates for those families during the winter.
