Symphony Village Residents:
As you may be aware, members of the Operations Committee survey all sidewalks throughout the community annually to identify bocks with a rise of ½ inch or more that present a tripping hazard. They also identify extensively damaged blocks in need of replacement.
At the September 7, 2023 meeting the Board of Directors approved a proposal from Second Wind Contracting to replace 138 sidewalks blocks or 2,844 sq ft of concrete throughout the community. The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday, October 2, and continue for approximately two (2) weeks, weather permitting. An eBlast containing dates the contractor will work in specific community areas is forthcoming.
Prior to the start of the work, residents have the opportunity to check their sidewalks and report any additional issues or concerns observed to Management. The sidewalk blocks that the Operation Committee identified for replacement are listed below and have been marked with white paint in one corner.
SEARCH TIP (for computers):
Click “ctrl” and “f” at the same time on your keyboard
then type in your address or lot number in the search bar.
The list of sidewalk blocks identified for replacement can also be found on the home page of the official community website or by clicking here.
If you note a raised sidewalk block of more than ½ inch without a white paint mark, please notify Management by placing a work order online using the link below. Management will receive a copy of your work order and forward the information to the Operations Committee for investigation.
CLICK HERE TO REPORT AN ISSUE OR CONCERN
Should the area or issue reported be deemed a hazard following an inspection by member(s) of the Operations Committee, additional blocks will be added to the list for replacement.
Please keep in mind that the sidewalk blocks are being replaced in priority order and financial constraints must be considered. There is no guarantee that all blocks reported will be replaced this fall.
Please contact the Management Office at 410-758-8500 with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your attention,
