Symphony Village Residents,

 

There will be three (3) vacant positions for the Symphony Village HOA Board of Directors effective December 2020. The three (3) year terms for Bob Nilsson, Arlyn Marshall and Joe Brown are expiring and the positions will be filled by an election at the December Board Meeting.

 

Now is the time for you to either nominate yourself and/or other Symphony Village homeowners. There are a number of simple ways to submit your nominations, you may submit it online by clicking here. Complete the form and then click "submit" and your inputs will be electronically recorded.

 

If you prefer a hard copy, the form may be downloaded from the community website by clicking here or picked up at the sign-in table at the front entrance to the Clubhouse. The completed form can be submitted to the Management Office in person, by email to gm@PROTECTED, by fax to 410-758-8509 or via postal mail to 100 Symphony Way – Centreville, MD 21617.

 

The website links to the online form and a printable version are available under the list of the board meeting dates on the Governance page of the official Symphony Village website.

 

Nominations facilitated by the Nominating Committee will close on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. All nomination forms must be submitted by this time in order to be counted.

 

Nominations will be kept private until all candidates have been contacted and validated. Immediately following validation, candidates will be asked to submit a Candidate Information Form no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020 for distribution to the community. The "Meet the Candidates" forums are tentatively scheduled to be held the week of October 26, 2020. Dates and additional information are forthcoming.

 

The “Meet the Candidates” forums provide residents with the opportunity to question those running for the board. The forums are facilitated by the Nominating Committee formally appointed by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Association’s Governing Documents. The new positions will be voted on at the Annual Meeting of the Members scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.; or in advance by Proxy Ballot, which you will be receiving in the upcoming months. The results of this election will be announced at the end of the meeting.
