Fellow Symphony Village Residents,

As we all navigate the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic brings, every aspect of our lives continues to be affected. This certainly is a challenging time for all Marylanders.  The Board, in consultation with the general manager, continues to monitor the COVID-19 coronavirus situation closely. The Board and Management strive to provide the community with factual and current information as it becomes available.

As you may be aware, Governor Hogan issued a stay at home order yesterday, March 30, 2020, to help control and prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the state. The Stay at Home Order communicates:

No Maryland resident should be leaving their home unless it is for an essential job or for an essential reason, such as obtaining food or medicine, seeking urgent medical attention, or for other necessary purposes.

This Executive Order became effective at 8:00 p.m. yesterday, March 30, 2020.

The Amended and Restated Executive Order may be accessed by clicking here

Governor Hogan also addressed out-of-state travel in his March 30, 2020 announcement:

No Marylander should be traveling outside of the state unless such travel is absolutely necessary. Those who have traveled outside of the state should self-quarantine for 14 days.

A comprehensive press release about the new requirements announced yesterday in the state of Maryland may be accessed here

PLEASE follow the directives that Governor Hogan has issued. Each and every one of us needs to work as aggressively as we can together to flatten the curve of this pandemic. Among other things, for example, please refrain from participating in activities that require contact with another person. Use common sense about shared items/surfaces such as playing tennis, using the playground equipment, etc.

Engaging in outdoor exercise activities such as walking, hiking, running or biking while keeping in strict compliance with guidance provided by federal and state departments on social distancing is still permitted.

The association highly encourages you to review safety guidelines and look for updates from the CDC, the MDH, QAC Health Department and the World Health Organization. Please check the links below for the most up to date information.
