Greetings Symphony Village Residents:
The pool maintenance contractor, Anchor Aquatics, was able to determine the gas emitted from the combined chlorine has essentially been “trapped” in the indoor pool area. Consequently, it is reentering the water resulting in more combined chlorine and being recirculated though the indoor pool environment. A small amount of combined chlorine and the resulting gas is always present in indoor pool areas but in this case, it built up extensively. The origin of the build up remains unclear at this time. This is not a result of a HVAC system malfunction nor a change in the monitoring or maintenance of the pool.
Please be assured the contractor is working diligently to correct the issue. They are utilizing outside consultants to determine the most effective treatment and preventative measures moving forward.
As always, the goal is to return the pool to a safe chemical level and reopen as soon as possible. A notice will be sent as soon as additional information becomes available.
Thank you for your continued patience,
Symphony Village HOA
