Symphony Village Residents:

The Board continues to receive inquiries regarding the reopening of the Clubhouse and outdoor pool. As you may be aware, an eblast detailing the most recent amendment to the Governor’s Orders was sent prior to this correspondence. Please note that at this time, the Clubhouse and pools will remain closed until further notice pending additional directions concerning applicable Local Orders and further consideration.

The Board had developed a first draft of what is being considered as it relates to reopening the pools, Clubhouse, and amenities. The following draft is for informational purposes only, it has NOT been approved nor adopted:

  • The Clubhouse will open at one time – including the indoor and outdoor pools, and the fitness center.
  • Use of the pools, Clubhouse and amenities will be limited to Symphony Village residents only, pending further guidance. Guests, including extended family, are not to use the pools, Clubhouse, or amenities.
  • Residents will be required to wear face coverings, in accordance with CDC guidelines, in the Clubhouse at all times. The use of face coverings on the outdoor pool deck is recommended but not required unless you are interacting with staff. Face coverings are not to be worn in the water.
  • The Association cannot guarantee all areas will be free of COVID-19. Residents will be responsible for assessing their risk and deciding whether it is in their best interest to visit the Clubhouse and other amenities.
  • Sanitizing wipes will be available throughout the Clubhouse and in the outdoor pool area.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing practices will be increased for frequently touched surfaces in pool areas such as locker rooms, railings, deck furniture, water fountains, doorknobs, and entry gates at least twice per day in accordance with (current) governmental orders. This will likely require scheduled pool closures while cleaning and sanitizing practices are taking place.
  • Seating in the outdoor pool area will be limited or stored during the 2020 pool season in accordance with governmental orders (currently 25% capacity) and best practice recommendations. Pool noodles will not be available but residents may bring their own.
  • Signage, will be posted in highly visible areas in accordance with governmental orders, including but not limited to, “Do not to enter if sick,” notices, handwashing reminders, cover your cough reminders and reminders to shower before entering the pool.
  • Provide proper notice to QAC when pools are scheduled to be opened in accordance with governmental orders.
  • Residents and households will be required to maintain social distance.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing practices will be increased for frequently touched surfaces in all other areas of the Clubhouse in accordance with governmental orders.
  • The Board reserves the right to close the Clubhouse and amenities in the event a person that accessed these areas tests positive for COVID-19. The community will be notified but that person’s information will not be released. Residents will be asked to self-quarantine and advise Management if they or someone they have been in contact with tests positive for COVID-19.
  • Residents and staff are not to enter the Clubhouse or use outdoor amenities if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
  • The Board reserves the right to suspend a resident’s access to the Clubhouse and amenities if they do not comply with social distancing and/or face covering requirements or similar regulations.
  • The number of residents permitted in the pool, fitness center and other areas of the Clubhouse will be contingent on governmental orders.
  • Reminders of the regulations will be posted throughout the Clubhouse and amenities in highly visible areas and posted in the Libretto and on the website.
  • Resident are asked to follow and have an awareness of the rules and regulation when adopted by the Board to protect Symphony Village residents, staff and all others.

This is a reminder that the first draft above is for informational purposes only, it has NOT been approved nor adopted by the Board.

The safety and health of all Symphony Village residents and staff is the Board’s priority. Every member of the board is concerned about the community and will not make any decisions lightly. This is NOT a guarantee for a timeframe in which the Clubhouse will be reopened. This is information only. The Clubhouse and outdoor pool will remain closed until further notice.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Symphony Village HOA Management
